Preorder Shop Update

Hi everyone!
So I don't have any major news today, but I will say starting tomorrow, Friday the 6th at 12 pm est, the preorder shop will be up for a little bit!
I've had quite a few folks message me on instagram asking for the preorders to go back up, so I thought I'd have a special pop up preorder shop! That means the preorders will close the 9th at midnight~
I'm doing this to help raise funds for future clothing projects!
I'm going to be working with a local Columbus, Ohio based apparel studio to make all of the clothing! Unfortunately that means the development cost for one piece ranges from $4,000 to $8,000...
Yikes! However, I believe in making the clothing as ethical and as sustainable as possible. So I'm excited to be able to be very hands-on in the production and make sure everything is high quality and perfect.
Working with them also means I can offer plus sizes up to 6-7x!
So anyway, spread the word about the preorder shop if you'd like to help~
The only other thing I want to tell y'all is there may be delays. I'm not 100% sure yet, but I'm just guessing from how many overseas manufacturers are experiencing delays from weather that it may happen. Hopefully it won't cause major delays, but I'll let you know if it does!
Like I said, right now I'm just guessing, but I wanted to give y'all a heads up that it's a possibility.
Everything will be sent to you eventually, I promise. I hope y'all understand if anything does come up. I know folks get worried, and in turn I worry, but I hear y'all and will be totally honest and transparent throughout the whole process!

Hi friends!
Sorry for missing the update again last week. I've been really busy, but I have some exciting stuff to share with y'all today!
I shared these on instagram, but if y'all didn't see, I started drawing up future potential products I'd like to sell!
Here's the hoodie sketch (I'm going to change it very slightly, but still wanted to share the initial sketch with y'all.
And here's the skirt I sketched up!
I'm really excited at the idea of expanding my merchandise and offering things beyond pins and even bags!
I hope y'all like the sketches so far! I will of course make a dark variant of everything.
Which other products would y'all like to see from me?
Since I'm going with this wavy rainbow theme, I was thinking sweaters, cardigans, dresses, aprons, rugs, blankets, and more! Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself a bit lol.
As for the beret, I received the sample and it just isn't right. I learned that the top image cannot be all embroidered on because it makes the top sit uncomfortably and feel stiff. I'm back to the drawing board.
I'm getting a new sample of the baseball cap, and depending how that comes out, I'll ask them to make a beret sample as they said they can do it as well.
I have a feeling these new products are going to take the longest to figure out and perfect.
We'll get there, though.

Hi friends!
I have a short and sweet update for y'all today~
Today is the last day to preorder anything from Backerkit. That may not affect y'all very much, but if you know someone who wanted to get a preorder in, let them know today's the day.
Also, I am no longer processing refunds for preorders or pledges.
The mass production orders have been finalized, so I can't accept refunds anymore. I hope y'all understand. ❤️
No big announcements other than that!
I know a lot of y'all were curious about the baseball cap sample, so maybe I'll post a pic of that next week...
I have the beret sample on the way, so I should be able to show y'all that, too!

Hi everyone!
Sorry I didn't update last week, I've been super busy trying to ship out orders from a sale and preparing shipments for my pin club. It's been a whirlwind lately.
I don't have much to update y'all on, but I'll share a funny thing with you.
So when I order products, I ask for a sample (like most small businesses like mine) and usually the samples come with like designer brand costs. For example, the crossbody ita bag samples were $150 each. It's understandable because they're making a one-of-a-kind product typically, right?
Well. The sample from the baseball cap manufacturer arrived. I paid $68 for this unique piece. First of all, they used a hat of theirs that already had a design on it, so they literally used extra stock for my custom sample. Then, they embroidered on the side of it with my logos. They literally used the extra space on the hat to show what my logos would look like. When I tell y'all it was the worst embroidery I've ever seen...
The quality was unreal. Never have I received such a nightmare. I don't even know what to do with the sample. 😂
But the good news is I found another manufacturer and they seem much better already. Hopefully I'll have some samples worth showing you soon.
I hope you enjoyed that little bts look into running a small business. Perks of being in charge of literally everything. 😂

Hello again, everyone!
I'm back with somewhat of an update!
I decided to try to post on here once a week since y'all like it ❤️
So I have a couple of things to share today!
First of all, production is going smoothly for the most part! For the phone grips, the manufacturer messed up and made a whole batch (1000) of the black hearts with white stands. 🤦♀️So I had to pay for them twice essentially and am stuck with a whole lot of flawed ones. I'm thinking of selling them as B-grades for half price. What do y'all think of that?
The phone grips and enamel pins seem to be the first items that will arrive, though they are still scheduled to ship in August. I will probably ship them first before the big boxes full of bags, though. So maybe expect them mid August instead of late August to September.
I still have to get the packaging together, so that's why they are still scheduled to ship later~
Secondly, I wanted to give y'all a heads up on the products I'm working on behind the scenes!
I wanted to get these two items made in time for the Kickstarter, but it didn't work out, so now I'm taking my time and trying to find the perfect manufacturers. I didn't want to put out ideas half thought out and products I wasn't confident in. (I guess I'm kind of picky and a tough client because I love details on items...)
So the products I'm working on to match the rest of the Kickstarter items are berets and baseball caps!! 🌟
I want them to be as special as the rest of the items, so I hope you're okay with waiting~
I'll share the sample images as soon as I get them from my manufacturers (if I'm happy with the samples).
So I'll keep y'all updated on those! Hope you're excited 🥰
