Update: Where I've Been...

Hi everyone!
I know y'all want an update. I hear you.
So here I am.
I will actually have another update to post in a few days once I solve some problems, so you'll be getting 2 this week to make up for my absence? Maybe?
Anyway, I've been working since my last update to get orders together and ship everything. After my last update I finally was able to send out the small orders (Kickstarter, not preorders) and then I started working on sending out orders with purses. I've shipped over 150 orders...out of 1500...
So if you haven't received a shipping notification, please know it's probably because I haven't gotten to your order yet.
I'm working extremely hard to get out as many orders as possible each week.
I'm dropping them off at USPS and UPS weekly, so if your order is in the group for that week, you'll get an email with tracking info on either Thursday or Friday.
Please know that I'm truly working as quickly as I can. I'm shipping everything out on my own and it takes forever. 😭
The thing that takes the longest is quality checking and repackaging. I could just carelessly throw in the bags and accessories as they arrive to me, but I care a lot about quality. So I'm taking the time to clean off all of the products and make sure they're up to my standard as far as quality goes.
For some reason I thought there wouldn't be many flawed bags- if any??
Well I was wrong. There are a lot. So there will be a lot of discounted products available once this shipping nightmare is over.
So that's why it takes me so long.
I hope y'all understand. I know it's been a long time since you backed this project. Trust me, I hate that it has taken this long as well. Shipping prices have changed so much in that time, and my holidays were filled with anxiety about shipping stuff out. Not saying your frustration over having to wait isn't valid- just know I am also feeling bad about how long this has taken. I know how hard it is to wait for stuff, especially if this is the first time you've ordered something from me- you may be worried you'll never receive your product. I totally get it. I truly appreciate how patient most of y'all have been with this.
I am not exaggerating when I say your patience and understanding has gotten me through all of the bumps in the road. It seems like everything that could go wrong did go wrong. But more on that in the next update...
So again, thank you so much for supporting this project.
It's amazing how many products I was able to create last year because of y'all.
Also again, your items will be sent soon, trust me! I can't wait for everyone to receive everything. It will be worth the stress of shipping everything out. 🥰

Shipping Update! ♡

Hi friends!
So I finally have an update with mostly positive news!
First of all, most of the small pledges have been fulfilled!
Some folks are even receiving them and sharing pics which makes me so happy. 🥰
I will say that I didn't and am not going to have time to write out handwritten thank you notes for every order, but know that I am extremely grateful for your support and patience throughout this process. ❤️
I hope that you still feel that love and care when you open your packages~
The free postcards finally worked out and the colors are just right. I hope they were worth the additional delay, lol...😅
Secondly, I am now going to slowly work my way through the orders.
I'm still waiting on the pink wallets to arrive, but other than those, everything else is here!
It may take me extra time to fulfill the larger orders as I have to weigh every single one, and therefore have to print labels individually instead of bulk printing, to penny pinch since shipping prices have increased in the last few months.
Don't worry- I do not expect or want y'all to overpay to cover any shipping overages. Y'all already paid so you're good to go!!
You will get an email with the tracking info when your order ships! It may be in your junk mail since I'm shipping through PirateShip.
So that leads me to: final call for address changes on all orders!
It may take me a while to get through the orders and ship them, so please keep that in mind. Once I ship your package, I cannot change your shipping address. So please email me if you need to change your address and haven't gotten a shipping notification. My email is [email protected]~
Okay, lastly, there have been some updates with USPS. I just checked and USPS has limited its shipping options for Australia and New Zealand. Currently, I cannot fulfill orders via USPS to those countries. I will look into other options like DHL to see if they have any options. I'm really sorry for that, y'all. I don't really understand the restrictions, but it seems to have gotten worse, not better.
I will definitely update if I find out anything else and let y'all know.
Also, I have quite a handful of UK folks that backed on here instead of ordering through Etsy-
I'm sorry y'all, but I have to figure out what to do with your orders since I can't ship them normally because of the VAT taxes. So unfortunately, your orders may be shipped last, and I may have to figure out a way for your order to be shipped through Etsy. I will contact you individually when I figure out a plan.
Okay, I think that's about it for now!

Long Awaited Update... ♡

Hi everyone!
I am once again asking for your forgiveness for my absent updates.
Truth is this process has been like pulling teeth.
Good news: bags have arrived!!
Bad news: I won't be able to ship anything out until late November + I'm still waiting on the wallets.
So yes, the bags have arrived. Let's start there.
I had to rent a storage facility. Here's the pic:
That bad boy is a 10x20 foot unit.
It took 2 days to fill. But....then I got paranoid. It's the first time I had to use a storage facility for my products, so I was wondering if I was doing everything right- then the thought hit me: what if there are critters that want to nest in my boxes?
Just the thought of that potentially happening was enough to make me reach out to fellow makers. I got great advice but the bad part is I decided to rent a different storage unit on a second floor that's temperature controlled.
Also, because I have a critter paranoia, I decided to repackage the bags before moving them over to the other unit. Lots of time and money later, the paranoia is gone.
To be clear: I didn't see any evidence of critters nesting, but I don't want to even risk something like that happening at this point. I didn't even think about that possibility when I first rented a storage facility, but better safe than sorry.
Sooo basically that's what has taken up my time and why I haven't updated.
Another reason is the postcards. Y'all. I decided to go with a local company after my usual online spot messed them up, remember? Well. That didn't work out, because of course it didn't, lol. I spent literal weeks trying to find a local place that a quick turnaround time (lol) and high quality, and well, it just didn't work. So I crawled back to the online spot because they said they could fix the colors. Bad news is orders can't go out until late November because of having to order them online again.
I'm sorry, y'all. I wish every step of this process hadn't taken sooo much longer than I anticipated. Hoping to get everything out by the holidays. I will try my absolute best.
I promise I'm not doing any of this on purpose- in fact the longer I have to wait, the higher the shipping costs will be, so I'll have to pay out of pocket for a lot of the shipping costs. So that's extra disappointing.
But I will get your orders to you eventually.
Blood, sweat, and tears have gone into this project, but it will all be worth it to see y'all enjoying the products. I can't wait.

Hey everyone!
Sorry I haven't updated sooner.
I wanted to find a solution to a problem before updating.
So basically, the small orders haven't shipped out yet. They're stacked up in my living room ready to go, just waiting to add the thank you cards.
Wait- shouldn't I have gotten the thank you cards already?
Yes, and I did...after them sitting in Memphis for 2 weeks. But, par for the course, they were flawed. Every single one of them. They were printed so dark you couldn't see the details. Sigh....
Now I know they're just a free postcard, but I worked hard on them and want to deliver the quality I promised to y'all!
So I scrambled and am having a local place print them because they have a 2 day turn around time. Fingers crossed the proofs turn out well and I can get them before the weekend.
Sorry again for these delays. I don't know if it's just me or if every business is falling apart right now, but it sucks.
I will get the packages out ASAP, I promise! 😭
Other than that mess, there aren't any other major updates.
The satin dust bags for the purses, backpacks, and wallets arrived! I have to go through the boxes and take pics of them, but haven't had the time (or space) yet.
My garage is filled to the ceiling with shipping supplies. Can't wait to finally be able to watch the piles disappear as I get all of the items out to y'all~

Hi everyone!
Thank you all for your kind words and support on my last update.
It sucks, but I ended up paying over $13k for shipping. $2k over is better than $4k over, though...
But some good news is that I prepped all of the small pledge orders, so they will be shipping out this week!! I'm just waiting on the thank you cards and some earrings to complete the orders.
So if you ordered anything that didn't include a bag or wallet and need to update your address, please please message or email me.
I will respond when I update your address. So if you sent an email and didn't get a response, please send another one~ I've had a couple emails already be sent to my junk folder, so I miss them. 😩
Also **AUSTRALIA BACKERS**:
You may be aware by now that USPS has stopped shipping first class to Australia. I don't understand why all of a sudden they decided to do that, but I cannot currently ship your packages. They only offer priority shipping right now which is much more expensive. If you do not want to wait and are willing to cover the extra shipping costs, please email me and I will make that happen. Price idea is $18 for first class shipping (which you would've already paid) to ~$45 for priority shipping. 😭 I'm so sorry for this weird delay. Unfortunately, I have no idea when USPS will start shipping first class to Australia again. In the meantime, I will be looking into other options of shipping methods for y'all to try and figure something out before the bags and wallets arrive.
Speaking of which, the bags are finally shipping, like I mentioned before. However, the wallets are currently still being worked on. I guess there were some printing issues specifically with the pink wallets. The black ones are all done, but hundreds of pink ones need to be redone. Sooo...I asked the manufacturer if they can ship what is done now, then ship the rest later. I think they're willing to do that, so fingers crossed!
That way I can ship out the pledges and maybe most of the preorders with wallets at the same time I ship the bags, since the shipping for both will take about a month to get to me.
I'll let y'all know when I have more info on that.
